Young&&Yandex is a community for young specialists who are just starting their journey in the IT world. Here they discover internship opportunities, join events, and explore new career paths.
We set out to make Y&&Y brighter and more dynamic than other Yandex products while keeping its connection to the ecosystem. The design reflects boldness, competition, and openness. We kept the beloved mascots and created a flexible system suitable for everything — from social media to events.
In the updated logo, the ampersands are turned toward each other — a symbol of communication and collaboration. We kept the signature Yandex Geo typeface and the yellow color but gave them more freedom and energy.
We mixed different styles in the illustrations — just like in a real team, where everyone brings something unique. Instead of boring IT symbols like brackets and slashes, we used references to memes, retro aesthetics, and 8-bit games.
As a result, we created an identity that works everywhere — on social media, in the city, at events, in videos, and on merch. It’s bright and energetic, yet unmistakably part of Yandex. It tells young specialists: “Here you can try, make mistakes, and get support at the start of your career.”
We created a detailed guidebook and taught the Y&&Y team to use it. Now they develop the style on their own. The brand lives on — you can spot it at universities, career forums, and city events. It keeps attracting new talent to the Yandex ecosystem, which means our job was a success.
